Breakfast Smoothie Bowl

I've got to share with you a much loved Breakfast Smoothie Bowl recipe, which I have been quite obsessed with lately.

Can't lie.

Partly because of the way it looks!

Everyone needs a quick and easy smoothie recipe which they can whip up or in this case blend in seconds, to either consume as a smoothie or enjoy eating out of a bowl.

It's great for any time of the day not just breakfast and can easily be adapted into a smoothie which you can have on the go and so what's not to love about it.

Adding ingredients such as Avocado gives it a lovely richness and creaminess to it without the unhealthy fats. And adding Banana's and any Berries you have on hand gives it a natural sweetness without the added sugar.

What's not to love about that!

Tip: During the Summer months you can use frozen fruit instead and this becomes another way for you to cool down and have a meal ready within 5 minutes or so.

Plus, the best bit about this recipe is you can fun with it and change up what you put in or on top of your smoothie very easliy and although it's great kept simple too, I believe the more toppings the better as it just adds to the texture of the smoothie bowl.

Ingredients:

For the Smoothie portion you will need:              Time: 5 minutes!
An Avocado
A handful of Strawberries, Raspberries and Blueberries
1 teaspoon of Almond Butter
1 Banana (can be frozen)
Half a Cup of Water
And to decorate you will need:

A Kiwi
Chia Seeds
Blueberries
Raspberries
Cinnamon
Almonds

Method:
  1. Prepare all the ingredients for the smoothie portion of this recipe.

2. Blend all the ingredients in a blender or NutriBullet. (Tip: Gradually add the liquid as you want the consistency to be thick and not runny, I added around half a cup but start with less as it varies and add more if you feel its necessary).

3. Pour the smoothie into a bowl and top with your favourite fruit or seeds. Have fun with decorating the smoothie bowl however you wish to and Enjoy.

Let me know in the comments if you've tried the recipe and what you prefer to put in your smoothie bowl. I'd love to know!
